EmpireCLS receives Green Ride Global Award of Environmental Excellence for Client Emissions Reporting
February 6th, 2009 – Secaucus, NJ – EmpireCLS Worldwide Chauffeured Services (www.empirecls.com) has received the Green Ride Global Award of Environmental Excellence for Client Emissions Reporting.
To be considered for the Green Ride Global Award of Environmental Excellence for Client Emissions Reporting, a chauffeured ground transportation company must have fully integrated its environmental sustainability program into their relationship with their corporate clients by providing those clients with reports of their supply chain GHG emissions from transportation.
Presented at a Green Ride Global member reception at this year’s International Limousine and Chauffeured Transportation show in Las Vegas, Nevada, EmpireCLS was the sole award recipient in the Client Emissions Reporting category.

Since joining the Green Ride Global program, EmpireCLS has undertaken large-scale carbon-reduction initiatives. In 2008, EmpireCLS constructed tire filling stations to replace air in the fleet’s tires with pure nitrogen. Nitrogen-filled tires can improve mileage (and reduce vehicle carbon emissions) by up to 15 percent. Further, the company has adopted energy conservation and waste diversion programs across its five national offices.
As members of Green Ride Global, EmpireCLS is part of the US EPA Climate Leaders program and has implemented an environmental management system that is ISO 14001 compliant.
