Important Update! – New York City Congestion Toll

We would like to inform you about an important change affecting travel in Manhattan and how EmpireCLS is adapting to serve you better.

Starting January 5, 2025, New York City will implement a new congestion pricing policy.

A toll will be charged for vehicles entering the Congestion Relief Zone in Manhattan (local streets and avenues at or below 60th Street). This initiative aims to reduce traffic by an estimated 80,000 vehicles daily, improving mobility in one of the nation’s most congested areas.

To align with this new policy, EmpireCLS will implement the following change:

A $0.75 congestion toll will be applied to each reservation that begins in, ends in, or passes through the Congestion Relief Zone.

This toll will take effect on January 5, 2025, coinciding with the city’s policy implementation.

This congestion toll is in addition to the $2.75 NYC congestion surcharge that was implemented by NY state in January 2019 for for-hire vehicles.
